In part 1, we studied the biblical record of the prophet Balaam, who is best known for the episode with the talking donkey. In spite of his stated desire to die as a righteous individual, he did not achieve that goal. In fact, the Bible shows that he looked righteous but in reality was not. In this second part, we will examine what Scripture teaches about how we can become and remain a righteous person in the sight of God, and how important the gospel of Christ and his church are towards that end.
