On May 31st, eleven members of our East Main family embarked on a journey to Panama, returning safely home on June 7th. Their time there was remarkably productive for the kingdom.
During their dedicated efforts, they conducted 61 Bible studies, witnessed two precious souls baptized into Christ, and rejoiced in the restoration of two individuals. Furthermore, two couples began the marriage process, a significant step in establishing homes on a firm, biblical foundation. (UPDATE 7/8/2025: Both couples have now been married. One couple was soon after baptized. The other couple plans to be baptized this coming Sunday.)
Sister Marie Francis diligently organized a Vacation Bible School for the week, which proved to be a great success. Our VBS teachers were granted the wonderful opportunity to enter the public schools and instruct the children concerning the truths of the Bible. In addition, several edifying ladies’ classes were conducted.
We offer a heartfelt thank you to Brother Seth Ferguson, who faithfully oversaw the preparation and organization of this impactful mission trip. The Penonomé congregation is truly a hard-working group of Christians who exemplify a deep love for the Lord.
Please, brethren, let us keep them earnestly in our prayers, asking the Lord to bless their continued efforts as they follow up on the many good prospects in that area. As Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”
